PURPOSE OF THE BICYCLE PATROL

The Lavonia Police Department is dedicated to providing a safe environment within the City of Lavonia for its citizens and visitors. This Department will utilize bicycles, within the City of Lavonia, for patrolling all residential areas, business districts, City parks, and recreational areas, special details and events which call for increased visibility, and / or mobility in confined areas.

The Bicycle Patrol will also be utilized to monitor parking enforcement in all business areas and interact with merchants and residents at every opportunity.
